Ps. 42:1-2 from The Message
A white-tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep draughts of God. I’m thirsty for God-alive.
Lord, I am thirsty for you. I’m thirsty for your word. I’m thirsty for your presence, I’m thirsty for your voice, I’m thirsty for your Spirit. I’m thirsty for wisdom.
Is.55 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.
